Moab 240
Below are my two videos about running the Moab 240 (2021 & 2023) What an incredible journey and amazing race - the highlights of my running career so far. It is hard to sum up almost 4-5 days of running into one paragraph but I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Moab. My experiences in Moab, have taught me that overcoming adversity in life is really what leads to self love and self fulfillment. I believe running this race has made me into a more empathetic person and am grateful to my wonderful crews and pacers who helped me turn a dream of finishing this crazy race into a reality. Enjoy the videos. I had a lot of fun filming them and think the gorgeous views and fatigue you can see in me as the videos progress gives a unique perspective of what running 200-milers is like.
The Silverheels 100
Another race I have run twice! The story of Silverheels is a fascinating one. In the 1860’s a veiled dancer in the town of Fairplay, Colorado cared for miners when a smallpox epidemic struck. Because nobody knew the veiled dancer’s name, she was known as Silverheels (since she wore silver heels). As legend would have it, one day, the miners of Fairplay would attempt to pay thanks to Silverheels by paying her a thank you for her caring efforts, but when miners tried to give her the gift, she was gone… Some say Silverheels herself contracted the disease, which stole her beauty and led to her disappearance. Others say she went to the mountains to die… unfortunately, Silverheels was never seen again. But due to her good deeds, Mount Silverheels, which sits above the town of Fairplay, was named after the veiled dancer. The Silverheels 100 was also named after said dancer, and almost completely circumnavigates the mountain. Check out my videos from the 2022 & 2024 editions of the race! The course’s beauty would surely make Silverheels proud.
San Diego 100 Miler
I ran the San Diego 100 in 2023; running the race was a gift to myself after completing grad school. After a busy semester and month, my main goal was to have fun in this race and see a new part of the country I had never been to before. What an event! The race directors were eccentric, the aid station volunteers were enthusiastic and helpful. It was obvious this is a community and race worth revisiting in the future. I can’t wait until next time!
Mogollon Monster 100
This is my video of running the Mogollon Monster 100 Mile Endurance Run. The course was beautiful, rugged, and rocky - definitely one of the harder 100 mile courses I have been on, but I would highly recommend this as a race to anyone looking for an extremely challenging course. This course boasts more than 16,000 feet of vertical gain and another 18,000 feet or so of descent. It is a rollercoaster of ascents and descents along the Mogollon Rim in Pine, Arizona. In 2022, I ran a fantastic race and was able to place 7th there. Check out the video here!
Never Summer 100k
The Never Summer 100k is a wild and stunning 100k ultramarathon that starts and finishes in Gould, Colorado. The Never Summer 100k is as beautiful as it is difficult. From Lake Agnes and American Lakes to climbing North Diamond and up to Kelly Lakes, this course does not disappoint in providing a challenge or amazing view. I often describe this race to people as “dopamine hit after dopamine hit of incredible views.” I hope you enjoy my video from the 2020 edition of the race!
